Spiritual Direction

Direction To Do What?

CCLC has COMMITED to a calling from the Lord this year. We together are looking to lead our neighbors to Christ. In order for us to be able to do this we need to start from a place of spiritual searching, this searching will ensure that we are inviting Jesus into this effort. This is a discipline that we should put into practice more often but are usually in such a rush to accomplish something that we rush past the power of the Spirit of God.

What Does This Spiritual Direction Look Like?

We will need to be sure that we are not rushing through this prayer of ours, be intentional in this prayer and scripture shows that God will be intentional with us. This is not a prayer that we should pray just once though, Our challenge this week is to pray this intentional prayer every day this week in anticipation of God to guide us. Jesus describes the persistence of a neighbor in need of something at midnight, ultimately Jesus asks that we continue to pursue Gods help in what we need "knock and the door will be opened to you" "seek and you will find".-Luke 11:5-13

Here Is What I Am Praying This Week....

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for the riches I receive as your child. I thank You that by Your grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving You and spreading the good news of the endless treasures of knowing You. I ask for the power of Your Holy Spirit to overcome me and make me a worthy vessel for Your service. Through Your power, embolden me to speak, and guide me to the people who you need to receive your beautiful eternal love. Use my words and actions as I share Your gospel with the world.

Amen.

Things To Consider As You Pray This Week

1) What is Gods heart for you and others?

2) how has he uniquely placed you in our area?

3) What can God do(or remove) to help embolden you?

4) Where do you feel afraid or lacking confidence?
