Dive in: Open in a prayer. Then talk as a group about This month’s EMPOWERING practice “Give Generously” and if you were able to practice it this week. Were you able to Try our weekly discipline? If you failed or struggled talk about what may have led to that failure.
Read: Luke 4:14-21 & John 16:8-15 (consider breaking up the passage among the group)
Dig Deep: *It is more important that you talk, than if you finish*
Question 1: Consider the reality that we too "carry the Spirit of God". In what ways can you "proclaim Good News", "liberate captives or the oppressed" or, "give sight" ?
Question 2: Read Luke 18:35-43. How can our church personify this man? how can you personally personify this man?
Question 3: Read Matthew 9:27-28. When we look at the ways the events of the world can quickly blind us from good news and the character of Jesus we are meant to reflect. What is Jesus asking you to believe in?
Question 4: What are the situations in your life that lead you to stop reflecting the good news that comes from Jesus?
Question 5: How is Jesus asking you to "remember Him" as you look at "what is to come"?
Walk It Out: This week we are focused on “Get Away With God” and how that pertains to Give Generously. Jesus has freely invited us to come to experience the empowering practices we see in his ministry. One of the ways we can do this is by choosing to practice "Get Away With God" in your daily walk with Jesus.
